NAMI Family-to-Family education program
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Box Elder will be hosting the first of a 12 session eduction program from 7-9 p.m at Utah State University Brigham, 989 S. Main Street. The event is free and open to family members, partners and friends of those living with mental illness. The program is designed to help create understanding and support.

Funeral pre-planning workshop
Myers Mortuary and Evergreen Memorial Park will host a free funeral prep-planning workshop and lunch at Idle Isle Café, 24 S. Main Street, Brigham City, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The seminar is to help individuals know where to start, options for pre-payment financing, how to guard against inflation, away from home protection and cremation options.

Box Elder County Sheriff’s annual dinner and dance
The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department will hold its annual Dutch oven dinner and dance from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Garland Armory, 72 N. Main Street. Dinner will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. Music will be provided by the band, Saddle Strings. Door prizes and a raffle are also included.
Tickets are available from any posse member or at the door. For dinner and dancing, tickets prior to the event cost: $30 per couple; $15 a person (18+); $7, ages 13-17; $5, ages 4-12; children three and under, free. Tickets at the door are: $40 per couple or $20 per person.
Dancing only costs $5, ages 18 and under; $20 per couple or $10 per person.

Relay for Life kick-off event
A Relay for Life kick-off event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 15 S. 1550 West Street, Brigham City. The event is free and includes food, Bingo, a soup cook-off and door prizes.

Winter-spring classes are as follows:
Children’s choir (ages 5-7) and vocal performance group (ages 8-14) are held on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m.; Feb. 5-May 5. Cost is $65.
Theatre classes for all ages are held on Thursdays from Jan. 23-March 26. Cost is $55. Class times are as follows: Ages 6-10, 4-5 p.m.; and ages 10-13, 5-6 p.m.
Art around the world will be held on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. for children ages 5-9. The class runs Jan. 27-March 9. Cost $5.
Youth painting class will be held on Mondays from 4-5:30 p.m. for children ages 10-15. The class runs Jan. 27-March 9. Cost $5.
Youth sculpture class will be held on Mondays from 4-5:30 p.m. for children ages 10-15. The class runs March 16-April 27. Cost $50.
Wonder Academy Magic class will be held on Mondays from 4-5:30 p.m. The class runs from Jan. 27-March 23. Cost $65.
Teen art class will be held on Tuesday from 4:30-6 p.m. for teens 12-16. The class runs from Feb. 4-March 24. Cost $40.
