Monthly diabetes class set
The Brigham City Community Hospital will host its monthly diabetes class at 7 p.m. in the hospital board room, 950 Medical Dr., Brigham City. There will be no 4 p.m. class. The class is free and open ot the public.
The topic is, “My Aching Feet,” conducted by Dr. Sumko, a retired orthopedic physician.

Fishing trip scheduled for seniors
Members of the Brigham City Senior Center will go on a fishing trip, departing the center, 24 N. 300 West, at 8 a.m. The cost is $5 and includes a lunch. A valid Utah fishing license is needed to fish.

The Brigham City Farmers’ Market will be held at the Bill of Rights Plaza, 20 N. Main Street, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Box Elder South Company to host district convention
The Box Elder South Company of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will host a district convention for Box Elder North and South companies at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church building, 531 N. 100 West, Brigham City.
All officers training – elected and appointed – will meet at 9 a.m. A general meeting and a free luncheon will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Benji’s Family Fun Fair
A fundraising family fun fair will be held in the parking lot of Ace Hardware, 220 N. Main, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is free, but donations will be accepted to go toward the medical expenses for Benji Norman, who is fighting brain cancer. There will be raffles, face painting, story telling by local authors, local entertainment and food for sale.
Nonprofit organization awareness Fall Frenzy
A Fall Frenzy gathering of non-profit organizations will include food trucks, bounce houses, a DJ and time to network and socialize. The event will take place at Library (Shuman) Park, 210 N. Tremont Street, Tremonton, from 1-8 p.m.
Fine Arts Center
Aug. 30: A free teen improv night will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and is for teens 12 to 18 years old to practice their adlib and theatre skills.
Peach Days Melodrama tickets are on sale for the performance, “Holmes on the Barbary Coast or Much Ado About Something.” Performances will be held Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 5-7, at 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person or $25 for an immediate family.

Vocal performance classes for children ages 5-7 and 8 and older will be held on Tuesdays from Sept. 10, to Dec. 3, from 4 to 5 p.m. The cost is $65.
Elementary theatre for children in grades 1 through 5 will be held on Thursdays from Sept. 19, to Nov. 14, from 4 to 5 p.m. The cost is $45.
Theatre academy for children in grades 6 through 9 will be held on Thursdays from Sept. 19, to Nov. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $45.
Intermediate drawing class for children in grades 4 through 9 will be held on Mondays from Sept. 16, to Nov. 4, from 4 to 5 p.m. The cost is $45.
Teen drawing for children in grades 8 through 12 will be held on Tuesdays from Sept. 17, to Nov. 5, from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $45.
Art exploration/master artist for children in grades 1st through 3rd will be held on Thursdays from Sept. 19, to Nov. 14, from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $45.
Preschool puppet story time is held the second Friday of every month from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $1-$2 per child.
Preschool music time is held the fourth Friday of every month from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. the cost is $1-$2 per child.
