Acts Six Soup Kitchen seeks toys The Acts Six Soup Kitchen is seeking new toys for children ages 0-17 who will participate in their annual Christmas party. Items may be picked up at any location in Northern Utah by calling 435-213-3581 or by emailing traceymellard@yahoo.com Thursday, Nov. 7 Brigham City Homemakers set monthly meeting The Brigham City Homemakers will meet at 12:30 p.m. for their monthly meeting at Gillespie Hall, 122 E. 300 South, Brigham City. The group will host a baby shower to collect items for donation to the United Way of Northern Utah’s Welcome Baby program, to be given to local families in need. Items needed include: diapers, baby wipes, onesies, newborn outfits, blankets, digital thermometers, and board books. Items should not be wrapped. Babysitting is available for $2 per child. This month’s meeting is open to the public for free. To attend, call Jodi Wilding at 435-723-3779. Friday, Nov. 8 Bingo at the Eagles Soup dinner and Bingo will be held at the Eagles 2919, 912 N. Main Street, Brigham City, at 7 p.m. The cost to participate is $10 which includes Bingo cards. Monday, Nov. 11 Daughters of Utah Pioneers Locust Camp to meet The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Locust Camp will hold their monthly meeting at 1:15 p.m. at the Brigham City Stake Center, 650 Anderson Drive. Anyone interested in the group is invited to attend. Thursday, Nov. 14 Ladies night set at Ace Hardware Ace Hardware will host its annual ladies’ night from 6 to 9 p.m. at 220 N. Main Street, Brigham City. The event will include floral design and home décor by Kelly Driscoll, make and take craft classes and learning about grilling meat by Caytlin McClerry of Cayt’s Meats and Meals. Box Elder Landlord Association The Box Elder Landlord Association will be meeting at 7 p.m. at the Davis & Bott Building, 50 West Forest Street, Brigham City, the presentation will be given by Matt Kartchner from All American Real Estate on screening tenants. Friday, Nov. 15 Third Friday Live opens to public Third Friday Live will be held in downtown Brigham City, 20 N. Main Street, beginning at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public and includes shops staying open late and food trucks. Wednesday, Nov. 20 Free community concert Aspire Performance Academy of the Arts is hosting a free community concert at the Tabernacle, 251 S. Main Street, Brigham City, from 7-8 p.m. The concert will include beginning to professional vocalists, flutists, pianists, and guitarists who will be performing songs for the holiday season. Fine Arts Center Nov. 8: Preschool puppet story time will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5 years old and must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions with Miss Joyce include seasonal stories, puppets, songs and a craft. A $1 to $2 is encouraged. Nov. 9: A paint party will be held at 1 p.m. The cost is $20 and includes supplies. Nov. 15: Music in the City will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will feature Gypsy Jazz with “The Red Rock Hot Club.” Seating is limited, contact the center for reservations.
