‘Footsteps to Promontory Summit’ tour set
The Brigham City Museum of Art and History will host a presentation and tour of artist Zhi Lin’s display on ‘Tracing Chinese Workers’ Footsteps to Promontory Summit.’ The event will be held at the museum, 24 N. 300 West, Brigham City, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 Diabetes monthly discussion set The Brigham City Community Hospital will hold its monthly diabetes discussion class at 4 and 7 p.m. in the hospital’s cardiac rehab education room, 950 Medical Drive. The class is free and open to the public. The topic for this meeting is, “Continuing Your Journey with Diabetes.” Dianne Curtis will conduct the discussion. Forest Street, Brigham City. The seminar is sponsored by Brigham Tremonton Board of Realtors. Box Elder and Weber high schools combined choir performance Box Elder and Weber high school’s choir groups will perform at Brigham City Tabernacle, 251 S. Main Street, at 8 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public. The choirs will perform a Requiem, a series of songs in a collection that’s meant to tell a story, of Jesus Christ and of his crucifixion and resurrection. Thursday, April 25 Seniors set trip to Utah Symphony performance Members of the Brigham City Senior Center will take a trip to the Utah Symphony concert featuring Pablo Sáinz Villegas. Members will be picked up at their home and taken to the event; there is a $5 transportation fee involved. Thursday, April 25 Tulip festival trip set for Seniors Members of the Brigham City Senior Center will take a day trip to Ashton Gardens and will depart from the center, 24 N. 300 West, at 9 a.m. The cost is $25. Golf carts and scooters are available for rent on a limited basis, at one’s own expense. For more information or reservations, contact Gary Baron at 435-226-1453. Brigham City Fine Arts Center Thursday-Saturday, April 18-20: The Art-tell exhibit will be open from 1 to 7:30 p.m. A free awards reception is set Saturday at 7:30 p.m. where winners will be announced. Friday, April 19: Music in the City will be held at 7:30 p.m., doors will open at 7 p.m. The performance will be by Utah-based band Mariachi de mi Tierra. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. For more information or reservations, call the Fine Arts Center. Saturday, April 20: The Art-tell gala dinner will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For reservations or information, call 435-723-0740. The dinner will be catered by Iron Gate Grille. Thursday-Monday, 2-6: “Seussical the Musical” will be held at 7 p.m. and a matinee will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are $6 for adults and $5 for students.
