Symphony and orchestra performance set in Logan The Northern Utah Youth Symphony and Chamber Orchestra will present their mid-winter showcase concert at Logan High School, 162 W. 100 South, at 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Daddy/daughter dance set Bear River City will host a daddy/daughter dance at the Bear River Civic Center, 5871 N. 4700 West, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is open to the public and is free to attend. Mardi Gras dinner party A Mardi Gras dinner party will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 912 N. Main Street, Brigham City. The cost is $10 with dinner and $5 without. Monday, Feb. 25 Diabetes support group set in Logan A six-week diabetes and support group will hold its first meeting at Logan Regional Hospital, 500 E. 1400 North, at 10 a.m. The group will meet every Monday until April 1. The meeting is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Utah Department of Health, Center for Disease Control and Logan Regional Hospital. Tuesday, Feb. 26 Moms’ support group, reading hour The Pregnancy Care Center of Brigham City, 142 S. 100 West, Ste. 101, Brigham City, will host a mom’s support group and reading hour for mother’s and their children at 4 p.m. Parenting the Love and Logic way class series set Healthy Relationships Utah will host a Parenting the Love and Logic way class series from 6:20 to 8:20 p.m. at Aldersgate Church, 235 E. 850 South, Brigham City. The class is free and will teach parents how to raise responsible kids, end power struggles, teach responsibility and prevent arguments. Wednesday, Feb. 27 Monthly diabetes class set The Brigham City Community Hospital, 1040 Medical Drive,will hold its monthly diabetes class at 4 and 7 p.m. in the cardiac rehab education room. Sandy Treweiler, a hospital pharmacist, will discuss, “Understanding Diabetes Medications.” The event is free of charge and open to the public. Forest Street, will host a lecture on “From Writing to Publishing” by Jenny Flake Rabe, the author of “Diving for Love” and creator of the Facebook group LDS Beta Readers, at 7 p.m. She will discuss what to do after finishing a draft. Thursday, March 7 ‘Our Community and Opioids’ conference set The Bear River Prevention Conference: Our Community and Opioids will be held at 989 S. Main Street, Brigham City, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The event is free, but tickets are required for reservations, which can be made on www. eventbrite.com by searching ‘Bear River Prevention Conference.’ A drug take-back event will be held following the conference from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Brigham City Fine Arts Center March 2: Dr. Seuss Museum Day will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is free, but donations are accepted. Children nine and younger must be accompanied by an adult. March 7, 8, 9: Flamboyant Occasion, a comedy about an unlikely murder trial, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students.
