Brigham City Winter Ball set Brigham City Recreation will host the Winter Ball Transcontinental Celebration from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Academy Conference Center, 58 North Main Street, Brigham City. Monday, Jan. 28 Family Fun Fair The Brigham City Family Fun Fair will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Box Elder High School, 380 South 600 West, Brigham City. Workshops and information booths include: “Can Autism be Prevented?” “Adverse Childhood Experiences,” resiliency, self care, internet safety, family bonding and more. Monday, Jan. 28 Library to hold Big Buddy Book Time The Brigham City Public Library, 26 East Forest Street, will host Big Buddy Book Time from 4 to 4:50 p.m. The event is for children 5 to 10 years old and will have the Interact Club students from Box Elder High School encourage children to read and use their imagination by playing games and activities. Tuesday, Jan. 29 Prepare for GED testing Orientation for GED testing will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. at Dale Young Community High School, 230 West 200 South, Brigham City; and Bear River High School, 1450 South Main Street, Garland. The event will provide information about resources available for GED test preparation, an opportunity to signup for the GED and a practice test. Wednesday, Jan. 30 Monthly diabetes class The Brigham City Community Hospital, 1040 Medical Drive, will hold its monthly Diabetes Class at 4 and 7 p.m. in the hospital board room. Saturday, Feb. 2 Sweetheart dance set for public The Box Elder Lacrosse team will host a sweetheart dance at The Cove at Maple Springs, 1040 Medical Drive, Brigham City, from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $15 per couple and is open to the public, no age limit. Essential oils for life will be held on Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the USU Tremonton Campus , 420 West 600 North, Tremonton. The cost is $35. Brigham City Fine Arts Center Friday, Jan. 25: Preschool music time will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Fine Arts Center. The program is for children ages 2 to 5 years old and must be accompanied by an adult. It will include stories, songs and a craft. A $1 to 2 donation is recommended per child. Tuesday-Wednesday, Jan. 29-30: Seussical the Musical, Jr. auditions will be for kids ages 8 to 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center. Those interested in participating are encouraged to be familiar with and perform one of three musical selections from the show, which are available on the Fine Arts Center’s website. Monday, Feb. 4: Style for girls (sixth to ninth grade) will be held every Monday until March 25, from 4 to 5:15 p.m. at the Center. The class will focus on teaching girls self-esteem, poise, manners, shopping on a budget, posture and more.
