Box Elder Community Garden applications open
The Box Elder Community Garden is accepting applications from community members who are interested in having a 4’ x 20’ plot. The cost is $15. Registration must be completed by the end of March.

Volunteers needed for series of Golden Spike events
Volunteers are needed to help with the following events for the Golden Spike Sesquicentennial: Celebration at Promontory Summit, events in Salt Lake City, iconic Meeting of the Trains in Ogden and Box Elder County Parade and Festival.
A mandatory volunteer training will be held prior to all events. For more information or to volunteer, email kris.udy@academymortgage.com.

Friday, March 15
Third Friday Live set
Third Friday Live will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Historic Downtown Brigham City, 95 South Main Street. Food trucks and live entertainment will be available.

Thursday, March 21
Seniors set to take trip to Utah Symphony performance
Members of the Brigham City Senior Center will take a trip to the Utah Symphony concert featuring Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Members who wish to attend will be picked up at their homes and dropped off at the concert. There will be a $5 transportation fee.
Tickets to the concert can be purchased by calling the Ogden Symphony Ballet at 801-399-9214. For more information or to schedule a ride, contact Nancy at 435-226-1451.

Saturday, March 23
Fundraising event set for Destynee
A fundraising event for 19-year-old Destynee who was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma while pregnant will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Yates Red Barn, 5090 N. Hwy. 38, Brigham City. The fundraiser will include a raffle, bingo and food for sale. All proceeds will go to help cover medical expenses.

Tuesday, March 26
‘Living well with chronic pain’ class set
The class, ‘living well with chronic pain’ will begin its six-week class on Tuesdays from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the Brigham City Community Center, 24 N. 300 West. The class is open to the public and free of charge.

Brigham City Fine Arts Center

March 15: Music in the City will begin at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be by 3hattrio and is free and open to the public. Tickets are required and can be picked up at the Fine Arts Center or reserved online at bcfineartscenter.org. Reservations will be honored until 7:20 p.m., and then seats will open to those in line. The event is sponsored by Excellence in the Community.
March 16: A puppetry performance program will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those interested are invited to bring their own puppet or borrow one of the Centers; and will improve their puppet performance techniques. The event is geared toward adults and youth 9 years and older. It is free, but advanced registration is encouraged.
Open mic night will be held at 7 p.m. The event is family-friendly and is open to the public. The event is free.
March 18-19: Gandy dancer auditions for teens and adults will be held at 6:30 p.m. This musical production will be a part of a reenactment about the Transcontinental Railroad. The production
will be held on June 6, 7, 8, and 10.
