Wednesday, March 27
Monthly diabetes class set
The Brigham City Community Hospital, 1040 Medical Drive, will hold its monthly diabetes class at 4 and 7 p.m. in the cardiac rehab education room. The class is free to attend and open to the public. The discussion will focus on “Seeing Popular Diets Through the Lens of Diabetes.” Dianne Curtis, RN, will conduct the discussion.

Party convention for constitutionalists set
The Box Elder County Constitution party convention will be held at 7 p.m. at the Bear River Civic Center, 5871 N. 4700 West. For more information, contact Becky Maddox at 801-645-4548.

Bingo night to benefit Meals on Wheels
The Brigham City Mom’s Group will host a bingo night to benefit Brigham City’s Meals on Wheels program. The event will be held at the Brigham City Community Center, 24 N. 300 West, Brigham City, from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $5 for a single card or $20 for a family.


Saturday, March 30
5K run to support fundraiser
The Littlest Valley 5K fundraiser run will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at 380 S. 600 West, Brigham City. Race entries are $25 per person and can be purchased at thelittlestvalley.com. All proceeds will be donated to a NICU micro preemie family.


Eagles to host Murder mystery event
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Box Elder 2919 will host a 1920s murder mystery event at the Eagles, 912 N. Main Street, Brigham City, from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost (per person) is $10 with dinner and $5 without.

Mom’s support group to host clothing swap
The Pregnancy Care Center will host a clothing swap at the Center, 142 S. 100 West, Brigham City, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Attendees can bring gently used baby and toddler items and trade for another size.


Hope for Survivors of Suicide Loss support group
The Brigham City Suicide Prevention Coalition will hold the ‘Hope for Survivors of Suicide Loss’ support group at 6 p.m. at the prevention center, 33 S. Main Street, Brigham City. The event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, April 10
Dementia caregiver support group set
A dementia caregiver support group will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brigham City Senior Center, 24 N. 300 West. The group is free and open to the public.


Library to host science class for kids
The Brigham City Library will host ‘WOW! Wednesday’s Exploring Science’ class for children ages 7 to 11 at the library, 26 E. Forest Street, from 4 to 5 p.m. Children will learn about static electricity and chemical reactions. The event is free, but tickets are required and are available on eventbrite.com. Space is limited.

Suicide Prevention Coalition to hold town hall meeting
The Northern Box Elder County Suicide Prevention Coalition will hold their annual mini-town hall meeting at 6 p.m. at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds museum room, 320 N. 1000 West, Tremonton. The meeting will focus on ‘addiction, the unwanted house guest.’ Dee Marble will talk about his personal experiences with addiction.

USU Extension continues railroad lecture series
Utah State University – Brigham City will hold ‘Building the Rails – the people, key players’ part 2 on campus, 989 S. Main Street, Brigham City, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The lectures will be broadcast to USU – Tremonton, 420 W. 600 North, and USU – Kaysville, 80 E. 725 South.


Brigham City Fine Arts Center


March 28:The art-tell youth art contest entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. The contest allows children in grades kindergarten to ninth grade to pick a story and create a picture that could be used in a book.

March 29:The art-tell youth storytelling contest will end with storytime at 4 p.m. Entrants must register before Wednesday, March 27, at bcfineartscenter.org, or contact the Center. For more information, visit the website.


April 4:The annual spring fling themed, “All Aboard” will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and from 1-3 p.m. Children ages 5-13 will be able to participate in a puppet show, crafts, stories, etc. The cost is $3 per student or $8 per family. Pre-registration can be completed on their website.
